DPP drops charges against 28 water protesters

Some 28 residents of the small village of Bambous Virieux, who were arrested and taken to court, are now free.

Following  representations of the leftist party Rezistans ek Alternativ, the Director of Public Prosecutions ordered that no further action should be taken against them.

The group of people had been arrested for protesting against the persistent shortage of potable water in December 2021.
