Financial support to tourism workers extended until December
The government will continue to provide financial aid to the hotel industry employees until December 2021, Minister of Finance Renganaden Padayachy has announced.
The government will pay a monthly allowance to the self-employed under the Self-Employed Assistance Scheme (SEAS) and to cover part of the salaries of people directly employed by the hotels under the Government Wage Assistance Scheme (GWAS).
