Harsher penalties coming up for motorists
Regulations to impose harsher penalties for motorists are underway, the Ministry of Transport and Light Rail, Alan Ganoo, has announced.
The new regulations will be presented at the National Assembly in October and the laws will be applicable as from January next year.
Infrastructure at black spots (referring to dangerous zones) will be reviewed and a series of sensitization campaigns are being planned.
