Tourism Authority awards multi-million rupee contract to Indian PR firm

Mauritius has been a favourite destination for 'Big Fat Indian Weddings'

The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) has reportedly awarded the New Delhi- based PR firm Om Tourism a contract worth Rs6.3M (10.6M INR) for a period of 12 months, l’Express reported.

OM Tourism has been mandated to revitalize the image of Mauritius among Indian travellers.

India is the sixth largest tourism market for Mauritius, with some 75,673 travellers in 2019.

It has also been a favourite destination for ‘big fat Indian weddings’.
