Treatment in Court “unfair”, claims businessman

In a surprising twist in the judicial inquiry into the death of Soopramanien Kistnen, businessman Deepak Bonomally (Bo Digital Ltd) has asked the Supreme Court that his testimony be “disregarded” – Defi Media reported.
He claims the way he has been “treated” and hit with a provisional charge for “perjury” is “unfair”.
Claiming to be traumatized, Bonomally’s testimony was, according to L’Express marked by inaccurate facts, memory losses and refusal to answer certain questions.
Bonomally reportedly bagged contracts worth almost Rs300 million through ’emergency procedures’ during the first confinement.
The motion will be presented before Supreme Court Judge Asraf Caunhye on July 15.
