A document from AML-ATOL (Airports of Mauritius Ltd and Airport Terminal Operations Ltd) on the reopening of the borders, scheduled for July15, sent to the various stakeholders at the airport, has given details on the upcoming flight schedules and the sanitary protocol to be enforced at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
For both arrival and departure, Air Mauritius will operate flights to Charles de Gaulle in Paris, Bombay in India, Johannesburg in South Africa and inter-island connections, i.e., to Rodrigues and Reunion Island. Emirates will operate two flights.
Air Austral, Turkish Airlines and Saudi Airlines will start their flights to Mauritius on July 15. Air Seychelles, the Madrid-based company Evelop, Air France and British Airways, will serve Mauritius as from the first week of August. Air Madagascar and Corsair have scheduled flights in early September.
Condor will land in Mauritius on October 2. However, no information are available on flights by South African Airways, Eurowings, Comair and Kenya Airways.
The passenger arrival protocols have also been amended. Resort Passengers (vaccinated) and Quarantine Passengers (unvaccinated) will be directed to two different sanitary corridors to reach their hotels. A specific-coloured card will be allocated to each category.
Both categories of passengers are warned to book their hotels in advance.
