On Wednesday, July 10, Prime Minister Dr. Navin Ramgoolam met with Lim Ming Yan, Singapore’s non-resident High Commissioner to Mauritius, along with representatives from the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise. The meeting took place at the Treasury Building in Port-Louis.

The High Commissioner described the meeting as “very productive.”

He emphasized that both Mauritius and Singapore are small island states facing similar challenges and sharing common interests.

Singapore has implemented certain initiatives that could be useful for Mauritius. Likewise, we see that Mauritius has made notable progress from which we can also learn,” Lim Ming Yan said.

He also expressed Singapore’s willingness to support Mauritius by sharing expertise in key areas.

This cooperation aims to promote sustainable and inclusive development in the country.
