Yogida Sawmynaden’s trial for fictitious employment to be heard today. The criminal trial of former minister Yogida Sawmynaden, charged with “forgery in a private writing” and “making use of a forged private writing” in relation to the Constituency Clerk fake employment case involving Simla Kistnen, will be heard today, January 17.

It is worth noting that around ten witnesses, including the former National Assembly Clerk, have been summoned to appear by the Public Prosecution in relation to this case.

The former Minister of Commerce and co-list candidate of the Prime Minister in Constituency No 8, pleads not guilty to the two charges brought against him by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The case will be heard in Port Louis District Court today.
