Serial thief targets gated development in Rivière-Noire

A serial thief named Jasmin targeted a Gated Morcellement in Tamarin, Rivière-Noire and committed multiple thefts in at least four villas. Jasmin, a 24-year-old repeat offender, was recently released from prison before returning to his criminal activities.

The thefts occurred between November 10 and November 14 while the owners were away.

After a complaint from a resident, the police launched an operation and apprehended Jasmin with the help of surveillance cameras and witnesses.

Thomas Van der Spuy, a victim of the theft, praised the police’s work and revealed that Jasmin may have also been involved in voyeurism.

The stolen items include cash, fuel, tools, and alcohol. Jasmin admitted to several other thefts, targeting luxury apartments in Tamarin and Rivière-Noire.
