Heavy Rain Warning

The atmospheric conditions in the area are becoming moist and unstable, creating favorable conditions for the formation of active clouds.

These active clouds will cause showers that will range from moderate to heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms. 

The Mauritius Meteorological Services advises the public to take precautionary measures during heavy thundery showers.

It is recommended to stay in safe places and avoid open areas, hiking, sea ventures, and sheltering under trees.

It is also important to avoid areas prone to water accumulation.

Additionally, caution is advised while driving due to reduced visibility caused by heavy rains and fog patches.
