Former CEO Megh Pillay Returns to Air Mauritius Board after 9 Years

Megh Pillay, the current Executive Chairperson of Airport Holdings Ltd (AHL), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Air Mauritius.

The appointment, confirmed on Thursday, 5 March, marks a significant return to the national carrier for Mr Pillay. He has led AHL in his capacity as Executive Chairperson since 1 October 2025.

A Career at the Helm

Mr Pillay brings extensive leadership experience to the board, having previously served two separate terms as the Chief Executive Officer of Air Mauritius.

• First Tenure: September 2003 to October 2005
• Second Tenure: March 2016 to October 2016

Strategic Oversight

His latest role on the board follows his ongoing leadership at Airport Holdings Ltd.

As the Executive Chairperson of AHL, Mr Pillay continues to play a central role in the oversight of the region’s aviation and infrastructure sectors.
