Toddler, 2, Dies in Tragic Drowning at Grandparents’ Home

A two-year-old boy has died after drowning in a swimming pool in Pointe-aux-Sables on Sunday, 1 March.

The emergency services (SAMU) were called to the scene at approximately 4:00 PM, where they confirmed the child’s death.

The incident took place in the garden of a property belonging to the victim’s grandparents.

Investigation Underway

While the specific circumstances surrounding the tragedy remain unclear at this stage, local police have officially opened an investigation into the matter.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding how the toddler entered the water.
