Student, 23, Killed in Early-morning Réduit Car Crash

University student has died following a fatal road traffic accident in the early hours of Monday morning, 26 January. Heertika Chattoo was driving along State House Avenue when her vehicle veered off the road near a local car dealership at approximately 1:00 am.

Emergency services transported Ms Chattoo to Dr A. G. Jeetoo Hospital, where she was tragically pronounced dead at 2:40 am.

Investigation Underway

Moka Police have launched an official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place later today at the Dr A. G. Jeetoo Hospital mortuary to determine the exact cause of death.
