University of Mauritius Hosts Key Symposium for Future Energy Efficiency Careers
A major Education and Job Fair dedicated to the energy efficiency sector will take place this Thursday, 22 January, at the University of Mauritius, aimed at bridging the gap between students and the growing green economy.
The event, held at the Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium from 08:45 to 16:00, is a collaborative effort between the Energy Efficiency Management Office (EEMO) of the Ministry of Energy, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Copenhagen Climate Centre, and the University of Mauritius.
Empowering the Next Generation
Designed specifically for young people and tertiary-level students, the fair seeks to highlight the vast training and employment opportunities within a sector that is increasingly vital to the nation’s environmental goals.
Ludovic Agathe, Technical Officer at the EEMO, emphasised the long-term vision behind the initiative.
“The goal is to encourage young people to move towards careers of the future, at the heart of the country’s energy transition,” he stated.
