Mauritius Invites Seychelles Leader to Attend 58th National Day on 12 March 2026
The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, has officially accepted an invitation to be the Guest of Honour at the upcoming celebrations for the 58th anniversary of Mauritius’ Independence.
The announcement was confirmed by the Council of Ministers on Friday, 9 January, following a formal invitation extended by the Mauritian Prime Minister, Dr Navin Ramgoolam.
Diplomatic Milestone
Dr Herminie will join the Government of the Republic of Mauritius for the national festivities scheduled for 12 March 2026.
The visit marks a significant diplomatic gesture between the two Indian Ocean nations as Mauritius celebrates nearly six decades of sovereignty.
