Gang Of 7 Armed Men Strike In Phoenix Car-Jacking

A 22-year-old chauffeur was the victim of an “exceptionally violent” car theft and assault by a gang of seven armed individuals in Phoenix on Tuesday evening, October 21.

The young man was forcibly dragged from the company vehicle he was driving near the Phoenix Fly Over at approximately 9:20 pm.

The assailants, armed with weapons including baseball bats and sabres, then violently attacked him before one of them drove off in the stolen car.

The victim, a resident of L’Agrément St Pierre who has worked for a tourist operator for a year, filed a complaint with Phoenix Police.

He stated the incident occurred as he was driving towards St Pierre, having dropped off an employee in La Caverne.

His vehicle was abruptly intercepted when a car stopped immediately in front of him, forcing him to stop.

Despite the shock of the assault, the complainant stated he is able to identify at least one of his attackers. The vehicle stolen is the property of his employer.

Phoenix Police have immediately opened an investigation to shed light on the aggression and violent car theft.
