Victim Found on Road After Horror Crash; Driver Seriously Injured

A woman has died following a horrific car crash on the Riche-Terre motorway on the night of September 25th, where her vehicle skidded and rolled multiple times . The force of the impact was so severe that the passenger was flung from the car and later found on the road by passing motorists.

Victim Found on Road

The victim, who was later identified as having been seated in the back seat of the car, was initially mistaken for a pedestrian by those who discovered her. A SAMU doctor confirmed the death at the scene. Her body has been taken to the Jeetoo Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Driver Hospitalised

The driver of the car sustained serious injuries in the incident and was reportedly unconscious following the accident. He was rushed to SSRNH hospital for treatment. As of last night, police had not yet been able to question him to get his account of events.

Police Investigation Underway

The severely damaged car was towed to the Terre-Rouge police station. The Scene of Crime Office will now examine the vehicle. An inquiry is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
