Mauritius and Rodrigues Unveil Sustainable Tourism Showcase at Paris Fair
Mauritius and its autonomous island, Rodrigues, are highlighting their sustainable tourism initiatives at the International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa trade show in Paris. The Mauritian flag is flying over the island’s stand at the event, which runs until 25 September.
A delegation, led by Tourism Minister Richard Duval, is meeting with European travel professionals to showcase a diverse range of tourism offerings.
The delegation includes Laurent Recoura, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Mauritius, Christian Lefèvre of Coquille Bonheur, and Philippe Hitié of Summertimes.
Major hotel groups like Lux Collective, Sunlife, and Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels are also in attendance.
Rodrigues, represented by Tourism Commissioner Jean-Alain Wong So, is promoting its unique landscapes and local experiences to complement the main Mauritian offering.
The joint effort aims to boost the islands’ visibility in Europe and demonstrate the variety of experiences available to French and other European visitors.
