Peace for Gaza: 2-State Solution Backed by Mauritius at Upcoming UN Conference
Mauritius will deliver an oral statement at a United Nations General Assembly conference in New York on September 22 to support a two-state solution for peace in Palestine. The decision was announced by the Council of Ministers on Friday, September 5.
The move comes as the UN has declared a famine in the besieged Gaza Strip, where nearly two years of war have left Palestinians desperate for food.

The conference, which presented a final document on the two-state solution, is set to reconvene later this month with the backing of the Mauritian government.
