Girl, 4, in a 'Serious Condition' after St-Julien-d’Hotman Collision

A four-year-old girl is in a serious condition in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in St-Julien-d’Hotman. The incident, which happened on Tuesday afternoon, 26th August , saw five people injured after a private van and a rental car collided.

The girl, who was a passenger in the van, has been admitted to the paediatric unit for treatment, with medical staff describing her condition as serious.

Her parents and a six-year-old sibling, who were also in the van, were taken to Flacq Hospital. Police say the family was too shocked to give a statement.

The driver of the rental car was also injured and was taken to a private clinic by her family.

Officers attended the scene and conducted routine tests on both drivers, which returned negative for alcohol.

An investigation has now been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
