1 Hour Closure: Port Louis Victoria Pedestrian Bridge Shut for Fire Drill

The pedestrian footbridge connecting the Port Louis Victoria metro station to the Victoria Urban Terminal (VUT) will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for an annual fire drill.

The closure, announced by Metro Express Ltd (MEL) on its Facebook page, will prevent passengers alighting at the Victoria metro station from directly accessing the terminal.

MEL confirmed that staff and security personnel will be on site to guide passengers and minimize disruption during the hour-long exercise.

The annual simulation is a routine procedure for the VUT.
