11-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted in Home Invasion

An alarming incident occurred early morning, 11th August, in a residence in Poste-de-Flacq, when an 11-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted sexually while sleeping. The young student, in Year 6, was targeted by an unidentified man who is believed to have entered the home in the early hours of the morning.

According to l’Express sources, the suspect, described as a stranger to the family, managed to gain access to the house before fleeing upon being discovered.

The girl was able to alert her brother, which prompted the suspect to escape through another room. She was subsequently taken to the nearby SAJ Hospital for medical attention.

Police Investigates Assault

The police in the Eastern district have launched an investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.

The young victim has stated that she can identify her attacker, raising hopes for a swift resolution to the case.
