Dawood Rawat Calls for Investigation into Apollo Bramwell Hospital Sale

Dawood Rawat, former Chairman Emeritus of the now-defunct BAI Group, has requested an official investigation into the sale of his hospital.

He stated that he submitted a letter asking authorities to look into how Apollo Bramwell hospital (now C-Care Wellkin) was sold , the conditions of the sale, and the distribution of favors that he claims were unfair and widespread in the country, where he says he has lost everything.

Rawat made these remarks on Tuesday, August 5, as he left the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) in Réduit. He was accompanied by his daughter, Laina Rawat.

Rawat expressed confidence in the government and Prime Minister Dr. Navin Ramgoolam, saying, “I know him well.”

He also criticized the previous government for its handling of the situation.
