USA: Mauritius Wins Export Tariff Reduction to 15%

Good news for Mauritian exports to the United States. Washington has officially lowered the tariffs on goods from Mauritius from 40% to 15%.

This decision comes after Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam personally wrote to U.S. President Donald Trump, requesting a review of the tariffs.

In addition, a special committee was established within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to lead negotiations and protect Mauritius’s interests.

The move is expected to boost trade between the two countries and benefit Mauritian exporters.
