SBM Tag Merges 3 Apps into One, Launches August 2025

Launched in December last year, SBM Tag, the latest mobile banking app from SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, has already been updated with new features. The bank is transforming SBM Tag into a comprehensive, all-in-one app that combines services previously offered by two other applications—SBM Pocket and SBM Amigos—which will be discontinued in August 2025.

The goal is to create a single, seamless digital banking experience that is easier, more intuitive, and secure.

This move aligns with SBM Bank’s strategy to simplify customer interactions and incorporate the latest digital innovations.

With SBM Tag, users can now manage their accounts, including credit and prepaid cards, make payments, track expenses, recharge cards, and access various banking services—all from one platform.

The integration of features from SBM Pocket and SBM Amigos aims to provide a unified, user-friendly interface that meets modern banking needs.

Linita Kim Currun, Head of Retail Banking at SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, said:

Customers will fully benefit from these enhancements starting August 4, 2025. The bank has set up a dedicated team to assist clients during this transition.
