FinWise Investment Summit Draws 110 Professionals in Balaclava
The second edition of the FinWise Investment Summit took place today in Balaclava, bringing together 110 investment professionals from around the world. The event focuses on asset allocators, pension fund trustees, family office managers, and other finance experts. It has quickly established itself as a leading platform for in-depth discussions and strategic networking within the investment community.
Under the theme “In the Pursuit of Growth,” the conference aims to foster high-level exchanges on innovative strategies, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by sophisticated investors today.
Participants include senior executives from private banks, fund managers, pension fund promoters, and consulting firms, both local and international.
Notable international speakers include Ajay Tyagi, CFA, head of equities at UTI Asset Management—an Indian government-owned company that launched one of Mauritius’s first offshore funds in 1994, showing long-standing commitment to the country.
Also present is Adarsh Juwaheer of MCB Capital Markets, whose locally domiciled funds have increased retail participation in the capital markets.
Édouard Taieb, CIO of Necker Finance in Switzerland, also spoke. Since 2014, Necker Finance, under Rémy Mabillon, has significantly relocated its wealth management activities to Mauritius, highlighting the country’s growing importance as a financial hub.
Rajiv Lutchmiah, host of the summit, explained the event’s purpose: “Our goal is to create an intimate yet impactful forum where top investment minds can have meaningful conversations, share innovative insights, and build relationships that bring real value.
This year, we aim to provide delegates with a more focused and enriching experience, leaving with actionable strategies and strong connections to shape their investment decisions.”
