Bus Flips at Cascavelle, 5 Injured in High-Speed Crash

A passenger recounted, “The driver suddenly lost control; we were thrown into the bus, then it flipped over.” Panic erupted in Cascavelle on Friday, July 18, after a bus overturned near Casela Park. Several injured passengers were rushed to Victoria Hospital in Candos.

Eyewitnesses agree that the bus was traveling at high speed before the crash. One passenger, still shaken, said, “In just seconds, the bus flipped over.

I thought I was going to die.” She added, “The driver suddenly lost control, and we were thrown inside the bus.”

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. Authorities have opened an inquiry into the incident. Traffic has since returned to normal.
