39-Year-Old Inmate Commits Suicide at Melrose Prison
This Thursday 17th July, a disturbing discovery was made at Melrose Prison. Naseeruddin Shameen Tengur, a 39-year-old inmate, was found dead in his cell. Authorities believe he hanged himself using a bedsheet tied to a metal grille near his cell.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. The Montagne-Blanche police station is handling the case.
Naseeruddin Tengur was serving a 60-year prison sentence imposed on January 29, 2015, for the murder of his aunt, Khairoonessa Tengur, which occurred on December 21, 2008, in Vallée-des-Prêtres.
His release was initially scheduled for July 1, 2056. He was also serving a 40-year sentence for the murder of Marie-Lourdes Collet, committed in the same year in Balaclava.
