Orchard Centre Faces Temporary Closure Over Safety Regulation Failures
Located in Quatre-Bornes, Orchard Centre has been temporarily shut down because it does not possess a valid fire safety certificate.
As a result, no commercial activities are allowed to operate there until the necessary certification is obtained and all requirements set by the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Service are met.
Radio Plus contacted Quatre-Bornes Mayor Bryan Kennoo for a response. He stated that the closure is primarily for public safety reasons.
The mayor added that the center can reopen once the issues are resolved and all safety conditions are satisfied.
Attempts by Defi Media to get a statement from Orchard Centre’s management were unsuccessful.
