Businesswoman Loses Rs 300,000 in Forex Scam

The incident happened on Monday, July 7, when the businesswoman went to Floréal with a man to exchange the money for foreign currency. The 43-year-old woman lost Rs 300,000 in a currency exchange scam.

According to her police report, she handed over Rs 300,000 to a man from Morcellement St-André. They then went to Floréal in her car.

Once there, the man asked her to wait in the vehicle while he went inside a building with the money.

After an hour with no contact, she tried calling him but received no answer.

Believing she had been scammed, she reported the incident to the police. An investigation has been launched.
