9 Members Appointed to the New FSC Board

The Council of Ministers has approved the reconstitution of the Financial Services Commission (FSC) board of directors. In a recent statement to Défi Media Group, Finance Minister Dr. Jyoti Jeetun explained that there was no board in November.

She said, “We appointed a temporary board with officials from the Ministry and the chairman, Dr. Rama Sithanen, to ensure business continuity. Now, professionals have been appointed as board members.”

The new FSC board includes:

• Dr. Rama Sithanen, Chairman
• Rajeshsharma Ramloll, Vice-Chairman

Board Members:

• Dhanraj Conhye
• Shaheena Abdul Carrim
• Mahess Rawoteea
• Hemraz Oopuddhye Jankee
• Hansraz Mulloo
• Yashraj Bhudoye
• An-noor Hassam Abdool Gaffoor

This move formalizes the appointment of nine members to strengthen the FSC’s governance.
