Bank of Mauritius Warns of 3 Risks from Global Tensions

Rama Sithanen, governor of the Bank of Mauritius, expressed concern about the potential impact of geopolitical fragmentation on the country’s financial stability.
Speaking at the opening of the annual Community of African Banking Supervisors conference in Balaclava, the Bank Governor warned that such fragmentation could disrupt foreign exchange markets and threaten financial stability.
Sithanen also highlighted that ongoing geopolitical tensions might weaken currencies and severely harm the economies of many nations.
