The move took place at the AfrAsia Tower in Tribeca Central, highlighting the bank’s long-term growth plans and renewed commitment to excellent customer service.
The new building situates AfrAsia Bank among major multinationals and strategic partners, strengthening its position in the Mauritian banking sector.
The relocation aims to improve client proximity, streamline operations, and provide an enhanced service experience.
The 13-floor AfrAsia Tower features modern facilities, including smart workspaces, conference rooms equipped with video conferencing systems, and advanced collaboration tools.
Around 500 staff members now work in this environment designed to boost performance and employee well-being.
Thierry Vallet, the bank’s CEO, described the tower as more than just a new address. “This launch marks a key chapter in our journey since 2007,” he said.
“Our goal has always been to create a different kind of bank—rooted in Mauritius but connected to the world.”
Vallet added that the new space reflects the bank’s vision for a smarter, more connected, and people-centered workplace, aimed at improving both client engagement and employee experience.
The inauguration event was attended by Attorney General Me Gavin Glover, ICT Minister Avinash Ramtohul, CEO Thierry Vallet, and Olivier Jauffret, Chairman of the Board.
During the ceremony, bank leaders emphasized the strategic importance of this milestone and shared their ambitious vision for the future.
A highlight of the event was a drone show that narrated AfrAsia Bank’s 17-year history through images, captivating the audience and celebrating the bank’s journey.
Olivier Jauffret noted, “The AfrAsia Tower embodies our strategy. It anchors us in Mauritius while enabling us to serve clients and markets beyond our shores.”
Following the opening, the Tribeca branch was officially relocated to the AfrAsia Tower on May 26. It is now fully operational in a modern, connected setting, ready to serve clients.
