2 Students Awarded in the 25th Edition of MCB Rodrigues Scholarship

The Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) has announced the winners of the 25th MCB Rodrigues Scholarship. The bank’s official statement confirms that two young residents of Rodrigues received the scholarship this year.

The recipients are Noémie Christabelle Chevery, 20 years old, who will study biology at the University of Mauritius, and Yvan Polimon, also 20, who plans to study software engineering at the University of the Mascarene Islands.

The award ceremony took place on June 20, 2024, at the Tekoma Hotel in Rodrigues. Thierry Hébraud, CEO of MCB Ltd., attended the event.

The MCB Rodrigues Scholarship supports students from low-income families in Rodrigues who are pursuing studies in fields important to the island’s development.

The scholarship covers university fees, airfare, and provides a monthly allowance of Rs 12,000.

Since its launch, a total of 47 students have benefited from this scholarship.
