Stéphane Adam, director of Menlo Park Limited, was released on bail after paying Rs 50,000 during his court appearance at the Port-Louis District Court on Thursday, June 19.

He was re-arrested this Thursday by the Anti-Money Laundering Unit of the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID) as part of the ongoing investigation into Menlo Park Limited.

Adam faced a provisional charge of “Conspiracy to Pervert the Course of Justice.” Authorities accuse him of lying about his laptop computer.

They believed that devices linked to him may have been used for suspicious transactions totaling Rs 10.4 million.

This amount is part of a Rs 45 million investment made by Menlo Park from the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC) on October 29, 2024—just days before the general elections held on November 10, 2024.

Adam told investigators that his laptop was stolen in the Coromandel area. However, investigators dismiss this claim, asserting that the laptop contains critical information that could advance the investigation.
