Rs 3.4 Billion: Nundun Gopee’s Public Funds Revealed

At Parliament, it was revealed that the company Nundun Gopee received over Rs 3.4 billion in public funds. The firm, Nundun Gopee Co Ltd, has secured significant contracts and financial support from 2015 to 2024.
According to information provided by the Prime Minister on Tuesday, June 17, the company has received around Rs 2 billion for various projects.
Additionally, it earned nearly Rs 205 million from renting out office spaces to government agencies.
Beyond these earnings, the government has directly given the company Rs 1.25 billion in financial aid.
This support came from three major institutions: the State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) Ltd, the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC), and the Industrial Finance Corporation Ltd.
It is also noted that Avinash Gopee, also known as Vinash Gopee, has served as chairman of several important public organizations, including the Tourism Authority, Mauritius Multisports Infrastructure Ltd, and Drain Infrastructure Construction.
