Former STC Director Rajiv Servansingh Arrested by FCC

Rajiv Servansingh, the former Director General of the State Trading Corporation (STC), was detained this morning, 13th June, by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC).

He faces a provisional charge under the Prevention of Corruption Act for allegedly using his official position to benefit another person.

Specifically, he is accused of ensuring that a contract for the supply of white oil from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, was awarded to Mercantile & Maritime Investments Ltd.

Servansingh is scheduled to appear in court in Rose-Hill.
