Air Mauritius Ex-Employee Banned for 5 Years After Disruptive Behavior on MK745

A former MK employee has been banned from flying for five years after causing disruptions on flight MK745 from Delhi on June 5, 2025. Upon arrival in Mauritius, police had to intervene to remove the individual, who had locked himself in the aircraft’s toilet.

When exiting the plane, the man, who had urinated on himself, requested and was granted a wheelchair.

Frustrated by the medical staff’s assistance, he insulted a medical assistant and a police officer.

Airport police had to call additional officers to control him and escort him to the police station.

The pilot also asked crew members to provide official statements about the incident.

Initial reports indicated that the ex-employee, who recently retired, used vulgar language during the flight. Some passengers captured the scene on video.

Because standard disciplinary procedures could not be applied, Air Mauritius’s HR department decided to revoke the flight privileges that the man, as a former employee, was entitled to.

This ban, effective for five years, also applies to his close relatives, the airline said.
