Flic-en-Flac: 2 Russian Tourists Rescued at Sea by Coast Guard

Around 11 a.m. on Saturday, the National Coast Guard (NCG) carried out a rescue operation off the coast of Flic-en-Flac. While patrolling aboard the NCG Rhib boat near the reef in the area known as Ex-mer de Chine, officers spotted two swimmers in trouble.

The two men, Russian tourists aged 37 and 39, were quickly rescued and brought safely aboard the vessel.

After the rescue, they explained that they had been swimming in the lagoon when strong currents and high waves caught them off guard, pulling them toward the reefs.
