There was chaos at Plaisance Airport from Tuesday night, 3rd June, until Wednesday, 4th June. Passengers on Air Mauritius flight MK014 to Paris-Charles de Gaulle had to spend the night in the terminal after their flight was canceled. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11 p.m.

The plane was stuck on the tarmac due to a technical problem and never took off.

According to passenger Georgina, passengers were only officially informed of the cancellation at around 1 a.m.

Some travelers managed to find hotel accommodations, but many had to stay at the airport because of limited availability.

The airline provided blankets and pillows, allowing passengers to rest on benches in the terminal.

Air Mauritius confirmed that a technical issue caused the cancellation.

The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience and explained that the late hour made it difficult to arrange overnight accommodations. The airline is currently working on rescheduling the flight.
