40 Employees Spark Suspension of STC Executive

On Monday, June 2, a senior executive at the State Trading Corporation (STC) was suspended after an urgent board meeting. This decision came in response to a handwritten letter signed by around 40 employees, raising serious concerns about workplace practices.
The suspension was announced late in the afternoon on June 2, following a tense internal atmosphere at the STC.
The letter, sent to the Ministry of Commerce, detailed issues that the employees claimed were damaging team cohesion.
The complaints included “questionable management practices,” a “breakdown in communication with human resources,” and a “toxic work environment.”
These allegations created a significant stir within the company’s leadership.
The Ministry of Commerce carefully reviewed the letter, and internal testimonies indicated a deep sense of unease among staff.
Attempts at mediation reportedly failed, leading employees to feel that they had no choice but to escalate their concerns to the ministry after months of rising tensions.
Despite having a strong professional background and several qualifications, the executive’s management style has faced increasing criticism from staff.
STC: No Comment
Defi Media sources suggested that the leadership was aware of the deteriorating workplace climate but did not take timely action to address the issues.
When asked for a comment, STC management declined to respond, citing a need for discretion.
However, it appears that the suspension may signal the beginning of a permanent departure for the executive involved.
