Tragic Fire: 40-Yr-Old Police Officer Dies in Vacoas
A fire destroyed a home in Holyrood, Vacoas, on Friday 30th May afternoon. The police and fire brigade responded quickly after receiving an emergency call about the blaze. Once on the scene, firefighters managed to control the flames, but they made a grim discovery inside the house.
They found the partially burned body of a man, the homeowner, who was identified as a 40-year-old police officer.
The victim’s body was taken to Victoria Hospital in Candos for autopsy, which was performed later that evening.
The cause of the fire and the circumstances leading to the man’s death are still unknown.
An investigation has been launched, and authorities have not ruled out any possible leads so far.
