Local Government: 2,245 Jobs Open for Application

Since May 28, vacant positions in the “Workmen Class/Minor Grades” category have been posted on the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) website and in the media. A total of 2,245 jobs are available.

This initiative aims to ensure the continued delivery of essential services at the local level, following the termination of contracts for 1,731 temporary employees.

This was announced during the Council of Ministers meeting on Friday, May 30.

According to Rajiv Woochit, Minister of Local Government, recruitment processes have been conducted irregularly, without the board’s approval, as required by law.
