Rs 2 Million Stolen in Mare-D’Albert Break-In

A hardware store owner in Mare-D’Albert reported a break-in early Sunday 25th May morning. The 57-year-old shopkeeper discovered that thieves had stolen more than Rs 2 million from his business, including Rs 1.5 million in cash, Rs 350,000 in foreign currency, and Rs 200,000 in checks.
The thieves forced open an aluminum window to gain entry. Surveillance camera footage showed a masked man inside the store, while two others waited outside.
The owner told police that the stolen money was the store’s revenue from the past week.
He also keeps foreign currency because he travels frequently abroad.
