Rodrigues: 92% Covered by 5G, Aims for Full Coverage in 2025

Mauritius Telecom CEO, Veemal Gungadin, reaffirmed this ambition during an official visit to Rodrigues from May 22 to May 24.

The CEO announced that 92% of Rodrigues is now covered by 5G networks. The company now aims to achieve full 5G coverage across Rodrigues by the end of 2025.

During his stay, he also inaugurated the island’s first sports complex in Baie-du-Nord, a project supported by the Mauritius Telecom Foundation.

The foundation is also backing seven social initiatives on the island.

Additionally, Gungadin met with local B2B clients to discuss ongoing digital transformation efforts.
