This Friday, May 23, Mauritians will experience a new chapter in entertainment as MCine Tribeca, the island’s largest cinema, opened its doors. Located on the first floor of Tribeca Mall, next to Gravity Active, the cinema features seven screens and 1,000 seats, making every movie night a memorable experience.

The official opening took place on Wednesday, May 21, with a highly anticipated screening of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”

Each auditorium is designed for an immersive experience, equipped with the latest Dolby Atmos sound system and the largest screens in the country, supplied by Italian company Cine Meccanica.

These screens feature Laser System and TMS System technologies.

A new premium hall has also been introduced, offering 58 reclining seats in a spacious setting for maximum comfort and exclusivity.

For fans of blockbuster movies, late-night screenings will be available on Fridays and Saturdays, extending movie nights.

An online booking system will soon be launched to make reservations easier.

Cyril How Kin Sang, CEO of Hermes Properties and Tribeca Mall, said:

“This new cinema, a collaboration between MCine Group, CEO Rajesh Callicharan, and Hermes Properties, aligns with our goal to redefine entertainment and leisure standards in Mauritius.”
