MTC Ready to Restart Horse Races in July 2025

The Mauritius Turf Club (MTC) is prepared to resume horse racing in July 2025. Club President Santosh Gujadhur confirmed that all necessary work on the racetrack has been completed and that horses are being well-prepared for the upcoming season.

Although no official date has been announced yet, Gujadhur mentioned July 12 as a potential start date.

This would mark the first season under the MTC’s management, after two years of operation by the People’s Turf Club.

Gujadhur expressed optimism that July 12 could be the day when racing fans can enjoy high-quality horse races again.
