Ex-PM Jugnauth Accused of Threatening Adviser, Factory Closure
Trishna Balgobin, businessman, has filed a complaint with the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) against former Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
Balgobin claims that Jugnauth threatened him during a phone call. “He warned me and threatened me,” Balgobin alleged.
He also said that his parents faced consequences after the call, including the illegal shutdown of the MBL factory.
“The factory was dismantled illegally,” he stated.
Balgobin, stated that he is a special adviser to royal families in the Middle East, claimed he is acting on behalf of Mauritians who, in his view, were victims of political revenge.
