Beware! Social Media Job Scams Using MRA’s Name

The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) has issued an urgent warning about a rise in fake job offers circulating on social media.

These scams pretend to be from the MRA, using its name and official logo to trick people into sharing personal details or paying money.

Amick Teeluckdharry, Assistant Director at the Taxpayer Education and Communication Department, stressed that all genuine job openings are posted only on the official MRA website.

He warned the public: “Be cautious. Never share your personal information with anyone claiming to represent us without checking first. These scams are serious, and people need to stay alert.”
