Lawyer Kaviraj Bokhoree and Salim Muthy, representatives of the victims embroiled in the infamous Sunkai affair, held a press conference on Monday 12th May, revealing a glimmer of hope amidst despair. The victims, numbering over 1,500, are set to recover approximately one-third of their lost investments, according to Me Bokhoree.

A process termed “Realisation of Assets” is currently underway, aiming to secure what remains for those who fell prey to the Ponzi scheme. The grim reality remains: these victims will not see their entire capital returned.

Yet, they shall, at least, recover a significant fraction—one-third of what they invested.

This was confirmed by Me Kaviraj Bokhoree, who passionately represented the aggrieved.

Standing alongside him was Salim Muthy, who echoed the collective anguish and urgent need for justice.

Multiple legal actions have been initiated to facilitate the restitution of funds to the victims.

The lawyer confirmed that the “Realisation of Assets” process is actively ongoing.

Since the stolen funds are held within the “Consolidated Funds,” disbursement is anticipated in the coming days—an essential step towards alleviating the suffering inflicted by the scheme.
